Jake + Katie // Shaw Nature Reserve // Engagement Photography

Well, that was officially the busiest October I've ever had!  With shoots almost every day & lots of meetings, emails, & editing between them, it literally went by in a blink.  BUT it's always worth it when I have happy clients & oodles of lovely images to show for it.  :)  

Jake & Katie were my 1st of 7 engagement sessions I had last month alone & it was a great kick-off to the fall season!  I had never been out to Shaw Nature Reserve & since they live over there & love it I trusted them that it would be great - I had no idea of how amazing this place was!  I could have done a whole session in the first little portion we visited, but then we proceeded to hike through the woods on a walking path, over a creek & up to a lookout, just making it back to the entrance before dark.  I'm in love with this place!  I wish it was closer to me so I could go all the time...but I'm sure I'll be heading back much more now that I got a little taste of it's greatness!

I had so much fun hiking through this beautiful place with you Jake & Katie - thank you for introducing it to me!  AND I'm so excited about your wedding - it will be here before we know it!

Mark + Brittney // Downtown St. Louis Engagement Photography

I'm so excited to share this sweet, city engagement session with y'all!

These two wanted something a little unique & I was thrilled to explore some pretty rockin parts of downtown St. Louis with them (can't wait to have another excuse to shoot there now!).  

Mark contacted me about capturing their big day in August & I was already booked & pretty bummed.  wah wah.  BUT!  They still wanted me to do their engagement photos for them!
& for that I say THANKS MARK & BRITTNEY!  I had so much fun with you two & love how your session came together!  May the adventures never end for you two!

Andrew + Stephanie // Wentzville Engagement Photography

Stephanie & Andrew are one of those couples that is up for anything!  They were willing to try any fun/random idea I had...& even brought a few of their own along with them (you'll see what I'm talking about when you reach the last portion of their session).  Their eyes light up when they look at each other & they know how to have fun together - which made it so fun & easy to capture so many great images of them.  

I hope you enjoy this little taste of their woodsy engagement session! 

Yes...those are waders.  Yes...they went fishing in the creek.  & Yes...it was so fun!

Of course, Stephanie caught one right away!  haha

Lauren + Jeff // St. Louis Engagement Photography

I am so excited to share this sweet engagement session with you!  I have known Lauren for a few years now - she's the sis-in-law of my best friend.  I was thrilled when she contacted me to capture their wedding & the love between her & Jeff!  Since Lafayette is a special place to the two of them, we decided to walk around searching out little bits of beauty to stop & savor along the way....I think it's sweet perfection!  Enjoy!

They were not the ones to scratch that into the bridge, but it was something sweet Lauren wanted to include somehow...& I think it was fitting.  
Just like this amazing bush we found that matches her wedding colors perfectly!  How gorgeous is her rose gold ring?!

Isn't this like a scene from a movie?!  I just love the LOVE in this beautiful place.

I'm so excited for you Lauren & Jeff - So glad you've found each other to love & laugh with forever!

Winter Love Story // St. Louis, MO Engagement Photography

It's always such a joy to celebrate with couples in love...but it makes my heart sing a little louder when it's one of my friends.   Anna & Johnny haven't even been dating for a year, but here they are giddy, in love, & getting married oh so soon!  It's all happened so fast that this session was the longest time I've spent with the two of them.  haha  & we had a blast!  Sure our toes were numb by the end of it, but I'm pretty sure it was worth it. 

Johnny proposed to Anna in this park on Christmas Eve.  It's a park they used to walk around & enjoy together when they first started dating; when the trees were full of big green leaves, the bridges blended into the surrounding woods, & the fountain was bursting beautifully in the pond.  The surroundings may have taken on a new look for the winter, but the sweetness & comfort of this spot was still the same.

I love re-visiting the spot of the proposal - it adds a little more intimacy & richness to our time together.  I'm so happy they shared this special place & memory with me.

one of my favorite things to see is Johnny light up just looking at Anna...especially when she would laugh.

She Said Yes! // Hermann, MO Engagement Photography

I had the sweet & rare opportunity to capture a proposal this fall...& I LOVED IT!!!
I asked John Paul to come with me since we had the job of decorating the Christmas tree where Adrian planned to propose to Jessica (& where I had placed the Elf holding the ring)...I also knew it would turn into a fun & special day for us too.  :)  It was the weekend before Thanksgiving & it was freezing!  I think it was about 17 degrees that day, so we of course had on lots of layers & even put heat packs in our pockets & shoes (those were a huge help!).  
I have to admit, I totally had butterflies while we were hiding behind some trees, waiting for them to come.  It was just so thrilling & I'm excited about the outcome of these images.
