Freddie O Freddie!

So, we’ve all come to terms with the fact that I’m just not a blogger, right? haha

I work very hard to give my clients a fun & memorable experience when we’re working together…& beyond that to provide them with beautiful images to forever capture some of life’s most precious & often fleeting seasons for them to look back on with love & joy in their hearts. Then, I move on to the next bit of delightful photos for someone else & generally don’t share much with everyone else (all y’all), it’s just something I’ve never really gotten into a good habit of doing. Part of me is sad that there are SO MANY gorgeous, funny, sweet images that y’all haven’t seen, but the other part of me is okay with that, since the people that the photos really matter to are getting to enjoy them as often as they like - that’s the most important thing to me.

ALL of that being said (& hopefully making a little bit of sense), I’m going to attempt to do a few posts (without much commentary) to get a few fresh images on here that I can pin to some of my boards to help clients gain some inspiration for their sessions & to showcase a little more of how I approach various sessions as well.

For now, I’ll just kick things off with a fun overview from all of the sessions I’ve done with Freddie (my baby) since his arrival over 15 months ago (how is that even possible?). I hope y’all enjoy!

Briar Funke's First Year! // St. Charles Family Photography

I have  been wanting to share all of this sweetness with you for quite some time now!

I have had the amazing opportunity to capture so many beautiful families as they grow (some even before mom & dad say "I DO") - it truly is such an honor & such a joy!  So, I wanted to put a little post together from one of my First Year Packages to give everyone an idea of how important & awesome it is to document all of the beautiful growth that takes place in such a short amount of time!  (I'll try to post a couple more families soon too!)

I believe it really is so important to have precious images like these to cherish many many years from now - right?!  & not just for you, but for your kiddo's too!  Don't we all love looking back at photos of us & our parents from years ago?  It's always good to have something to look back on & remember the joy &  beauty in these fleeting moments!

Cecily & Adella's 1st Birthday // St. Charles Family Photography

So, I was just thinking about these two adorable little ladies & realized that I never posted their First Birthday Session!!  Gasp!  haha  So, since they are so stinking adorable & since I've already posted their Newborn & 7 month sessions - I just had to show the conclusion to their wonderful First Year Package.  
It was so much fun getting to watch these two littles grow & change in their first year of life!  I'm sure they'll have their crazy sister moments throughout the years, but I think they will most definitely be best friends through it all - you can already tell what a sweet bond they have with each other.  I hope I'm able to see more of them through the years & capture them throughout their journey of sisterhood.

Alden's First Birthday Fun // St. Charles Child Photography

I'm so excited to share this adorable First Birthday Session with y'all!  

Do you remember Alden's Newborn photos from last year? If not, then you should go take a peek now Welcome Alden - it so fun to see how much they grow & change in such a short period of time!  This little man has brought so much joy to his mom & dad...& pretty much everyone he comes in contact with.  He's one of those little boys that smiles ear to ear when you just say hi to him!  It's making me smile as I type just thinking about the twinkle in his eyes when he smiles at me.  What a treasure!

I love how simple yet fun all of Linda's ideas were for his session...I hope you enjoy them!

We even got to sneak out when Alden was sleeping for a few of just Bob & Linda - gosh I'm so thankful for them in my life.

We love you Alden!  Thanks for always bringing so much joy & sweetness with you wherever you go...can't wait to see the awesome little man you grow into!

Michael is One! // St. Charles Child Photography

Gosh I love this family!  
I had the privilege of capturing Chris & Kathryn's wedding a few years ago & now I get to be a part of capturing their family as it grows - what a treat!  Their little stud muffin, Michael John, just celebrated his 1st Birthday - which is cause for celebration & a fun photo session too, right?!  :)

Chris & Kathryn bought this old chair & gave it a makeover by painting it a fantastic bright yellow.
& how fun is the chalk paint on the back? 

Love you guys!  So glad I got to do these for you...& I'm already so excited about getting some more of your growing family in the fall!  :)

Annabelle is ONE // Missouri Botanical Gardens // St. Louis Child Photography

I know I've been posting lots of kiddos lately, but tis the season I guess.  haha  I promise I'll be posting more weddings & engagement sessions soon - it's just about that season now as well.  ;)

But for now I want to introduce you to my adorable niece, Annabelle Constance...she is the sweetest, cheeriest, cutest little thing ever!  I love the way she laughs, cuddles her little baby doll, pats me on the back when we hug, & smiles so big you think her face is going to get stuck that way.  haha  She has a way of turning my heart to mush & I love that I get to watch her grow up.  

She was a little sleepy & hungry when we started our journey, but warmed up after some food & then really piled on the charm during the 2nd half of the session.  haha  

She wasn't too sure about those leg warmers, but you could tell she felt adorable as can be in them.  ha

See what I mean about her big smile...we were all laughing & having so much fun!

Oh darling girl...I love you so!
